Australian States and New Zealand collections for stamp enthusiasts.
As part of our June 3rd Stamp sale besides general collections, British Commonwealth and foreign country ranges, single items, GB we are pleased to be offering a series of AUSTRALIAN STATES lots 132-160. These were formed as part of a collection decades ago and have remained the same. The individual State ranges are “in depth” with shades, perf varieties, watermark varieties, duplication. There are covers of New South Wales from 1950, Tasmania covers from 1851. Various collections of postmarks and duplicated M/UM from the late QV period. There is also a seln of items incl South Australia 8d “EIGNT” error (SG 272a), Victoria incl £2 UM pair (SG 445).
The NEW ZEALAND section (lots 259-298) is a very specialised collection again collected over many years, with items and collections that are rarely seen, It has been “spilt” into several lots including ranges of Newspaper and Sideface, an outstanding collection of QV Pictorials, Remarkable 1864-71 1d top half sheet of 120, further specialised ranges through to early QEII. Back of the Book incl Postage Dues, Life Insurance, my favourite though it has been difficult to choose is a very good collection of QV Stamp Duties mainly Used though including some M, Postmarks and Cancellations.
