1000th Auction!

On 19th February 2025, Warwick and Warwick will be holding our 1000thauction!

Warwick and Warwick began as a philatelic auction house in the late 1950s. After being taken over by new management, we later expanded by offering coins, medals, banknotes, militaria, model railways, die-cast models, soldiers, postcards and cigarette cards in our auctions, which we have specialised in for well over 25 years now.

We’ve held several important auctions over the years, including The Gian Maria Rossi Collection of Great Britain Overprints in 2005, the 'Excelsior' Collection in 2009 (featuring the famous 1918 USA 24c 'Inverted Jenny'), the W?odzimierz Rachmanow Collection of the Kingdom of Poland in 2010 and the Commander Simpson Collection of Great Britain in 2012 (including the rare 1910 GB 2d 'Tyrian Plum'). In 2015 we had the pleasure of offering a very rare Northern Banking Company £1 banknote, hardly ever seen.

In more recent years we have had the privilege to offer at auction The Colditz Castle unique archive of WW2 photos taken by Johannes Lange was sold in a 2020 auction at £6,000. A rare World War 1 Memorial Plaque in 2021, in 2022, A World War 2 London Passenger Transport Board Medal for Bravery to Thomas W.S. Large. An extremely profound and rare Nurse's 1940 London Blitz George Medal was auctioned in 2023. Additionally, from 2023, we offered a unique Republic of Ireland Munster & Leinster Bank Ltd 1929 (6 May) £10.

Warwick and Warwick have celebrated many fantastic auctions over the years, an expansion of our specialist departments, a larger premise and we have recently become an Employee-Owned Trust.

We would like to thank all our clients, whether buyers or sellers, for your patronage over the years and your continued support.
