Toy cars have been much-loved by children for many generations. In fact, many of the toy car collectors we speak to say their childhood memories stimulated their interest to collect model cars later on in life.
As one of the leading international providers of diecast model car valuations, our experts here at Warwick & Warwick are always keen to hear from anyone with a keen interest in antique tin cars, vintage or modern diecast cars.
Having been in business since 1958, our team of experts have seen and handled an enormous variety of collectable toy cars from makers including Corgi, Dinky and Matchbox.
Our model car valuations team can boast more than 50 years’ experience and a reputation that’s second to none, we can be trusted to provide an accurate assessment of how much an individual item or model car collection may be worth.
Diecast model cars from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s always create a large amount of interest when sold in our auction house, so we are always looking to hear from anyone who has a rare model car or high-quality collection to value.
Even some damaged cars can command respectable prices in one of our diecast model auctions because collectors often restore them or use them for spares, so please tell us if you have any items of interest that you may consider selling.
By taking advantage of our free model car valuations service, you will receive free expert advice about the best way to achieve the maximum possible returns on any item – with no obligation to sell.
Although we will give you the option to sell in a public auction or via a private treaty sale, our aim is to help you to make an informed decision; even if that means keeping the cars in your possession to pass on to another generation.

As with all collectables, there are several factors which affect diecast car values and it is important to have a basic understanding of these if you’re thinking of requesting a model car valuation.
When assessing your car, the four main factors which our experts look for are:
Manufacturer: High quality productions of highly-detailed cars are usually more expensive to buy in the first place, and remain more valuable as they get older.
Rarity: Diecast models manufactured in limited quantities are obviously of most interest.
Year of production: Older diecast cars are usually harder to find and tend to be of greater value, especially when in pristine condition.
Scale: The most popular car scales are 1:64, 1:24 and 1:18 – although most diecast model car collectors concentrate on the 1:24 scale rather that the smaller or larger versions.
Although prices naturally fluctuate, diecast model car values ultimately depend on what someone is prepared to pay – and an auction can often be the best way to achieve the maximum possible realisation.
As one of the leading providers of model car valuations, Warwick & Warwick is pleased to offer free help and advice on the best way to sell your collectables.
