Having worked for Warwick and Warwick for some years now, I am delighted to be leading the stamp team.
I have been fortunate to learn from a number of Senior Valuers during my time here, whose depth and breadth of knowledge is extraordinary.
Is philately still popular in the 21st century? Well, we have a major philatelic auction every month and the demand from buyers and sellers is higher than it’s ever been. With the introduction of live internet bidding our auctions are regularly attracting new buyers who have never bought from us before, and are a fantastic way to achieve the maximum results for our vendors.
Analysis of our auctions in recent years shows that we are now reaching further than ever before. Our database of customers extends to the far corners or the world, also our viewing days are very well-attended with some customers travelling across the length of the UK in the days leading up to every auction.
I know the team here already do a fantastic job providing advice to our customers and utilising their skills to produce quality stamp auction lots. I am keen to make sure the dedicated team I work with are able to fulfil their potential and make a real difference every day.
It’s a pleasure to be a part of the team who appraise thousands of collections every year, and then, if the customer chooses to sell their property by auction, preparing their collection in its most saleable form.
Many of our vendors are extremely happy with their results, for me achieving this is the most rewarding part of the job.
