1871 50c Blue and Black Revenue Stamp

It is with pleasure that we can announce for sale in our upcoming stamp auction Lot 200, an 1871 50c blue and black revenue stamp. Although not overly interesting on its own this stamp boasts an inverted portrait of George Washington, a scarce and exciting error! A fine and well coloured example, this stamp would be a wonderful addition to any philatelist’s collection.
