Our auction yesterday realised some great results, here are some highlights.

Our Cigarette Card section had some cricketer's cards in great condition! Lot 28, Taddy’s Part set in plastic sleeves with 1907 County Cricketers sold for £460.

From the Postcard section lot 88, a sport loose collection of wrestlers, gymnasts, bodybuilders, weightlifters and boxers sold very well. The lot included mainly individual portraits in various positions and few group portraits of gymnastic and athletic groups. Noting Eugene, Hackenschmidt, Charles Rigoulot, Frank Crozier, Joe Smith, Henry Irslinger etc hammered down at £1,750.

They’re small but mighty!

Lot 277 from our Die Cast section featured a Matchbox range of '1-75' series models, generally excellent in very good boxes, including No. 20a ERF Stake Truck, No. 21a Bedford Coach, No. 22a Vauxhall Cresta, No. 23a Berkeley Cavalier Caravan, No. 24a 'Hydraulic' Excavator, No. 25a Bedford 12 cwt Van, No. 26a ERF Cement Mixer, No. 27a Bedford Low Loader, No. 28 Bedford Compressor and No. 29a Bedford Milk Delivery Van. This lot sold for £575.

Our Model Railways section is forever popular, and one standout lot was lot 550. A Hornby Dublo collection of locomotives including LMS 'Duchess' Class 4-6-2 46247 'City of Liverpool' maroon No 3226, 46245 'City of London' maroon No2226, LMS Class 8F 2-8-0 48094 black No 3224, BR Rebuilt 'West Country' Class 4-6-2 34042green No 3235 steam locomotives with tenders plus tanks (5). This lot realised £1,100.

Overall, we had some fantastic selling lots and will now be taking consignments for our May 21st sale.
