The cigarette and trade card section were popular with many buyers interested in Ogden’s Guinea Golds. Lot 3 was a mixed collection and sold for £900, with an original estimate of £500. Lot 7 followed suit with an estimate of £350 and sold for £690. Lot 51 included our special Pokemon lot, with a rare Charizard card and sold for £216, with an original estimate of £100. The postcards always sell well and lot 52 was no exception with a mixed lot and estimate of £1,750, sold for £4,920. Lot 54 sold for £1,800 and lot 99 sold for £1,560. The star of the postcards was lot 101 with a miscellaneous London collection with a lovely variety of valuable RP topo. Street scenes, shops, cinemas etc. R. Bowyer & Sons Lee, Hippodrome Catford, Sydenham, Beckenham, Perry Hill, New Cross, Lewisham, Honor Oak, Forest Hill, Lee, Rushey Green etc and sold for £10,200, with an estimate of £2,000.

Moving onto the toy section, lot 168 was a collection including Holiday Highway No M1518, Public Transport No M/1512 and sold for £600, with an original estimate of £200. The Scalextric was very popular with lot 176 having an estimate of £525 and sold for £900 and lot 177 sold for £930 with an estimate of £420.

The die cast section included many mixed lots, which our customers love and lot 215 sold for £780, with an estimate of £430. Lot 222 was an EFE collection and sold for £780 with an estimate of £400. Corgi is always popular in our auctions, lot 259 sold for £660 with an estimate of £330. Lot 265 included Corgi Buck Riviera No 245, Ford Consul Classic No 234, Fiat 1800 No 217 etc and sold for £552 and had an estimate of £200. Lot 268 was James Bond Aston Martin DB5 No 261 and sold for £252 with an estimate of £180. Lot 271 was an Avengers Gift Set No 40 and had an estimate of £150 and sold for £264.

Moving on from Corgi, the CMC lot, lot 272 sold for £288 and had an estimate of £200. Lot 273 was a collection of Dinky with Triumph TR2 No 111, Peugeot 402 Taxi No 24L, Dodge Royal Sedan No 191, Scammell horse van No R7249, Aston Martin DB3S with some reproduction and sold for £576, with an estimate of £360.

Our model railways section started brilliantly with lot 278a a beautiful Live 1½" scale Allchin traction engine, maroon body with copper highlights, red and silver wheels, which sold for £1,500 and had an estimate of £500.

Lot 283 was the start of the O gauge section and lot 283 included coaches and wagons and sold for £990, with an estimate of £380. Lot 289 featured a Hornby O gauge No. 2 Special Class 4-4-0 LMS 1185 maroon clockwork (with key) locomotive and tender and sold for £168, with an estimate of £100. Lot 292 was a scratch/ kit built unboxed 4-6-0 BR black No.45428 O gauge locomotive and tender which sold for £336 and had an estimate of £100.

The N gauge section always catches the eyes of the buyers and lot 294 was no exception with it selling for £810, with an estimate of £300. Lot 295 was another unboxed collection but with locomotives as well and sold for £720 with an estimate of £240. The OO gauge section continued to sell well, with lot 300 having one of the highest estimates at £3,700 and it sold for £9,000, proving that higher valued lots are just as popular.

Overall, the sale was a great success and received some fantastic bidding.
