Our first Banknotes auction of 2020 drew a considerable crowd with 144 lots for keen bidders to choose from.
We began with our British banknotes section and this Bradbury 1915 type 1 10 shillings which realised £144.
This lovely Catterns 1929 (28 Dec) £5 graded as nearly extremely fine sold for £252.
There was a range of 4 scarce Page 1970 £1 first series notes which sold for a whopping combined total of £4,950!
And this Lowther 2002 £5 experimental issue achieved for three times its estimate at £504.
In the world banknotes section this Iraq 1950 Faisal II quarter dinar realised £372.
And this Seychelles 1973 (1 Aug) 50 rupees achieved £132.
