Our 21st June 2023 Coins, Medals, Militaria and Banknotes Auction had some very interesting lots and strong live bidding through www.easyliveauction.com plus commission and telephone bids.
Lot 255 was a very interesting lot containing Roman coins and sold for £200. Lot 267 included Maundy odds and sold for £725. Lot 278, William III to KGV silver collection sold for £460.
The hammered coinage is always popular and some keen eye buyers spotted the star amongst the sale. Lot 305 was a Henry VIII. 1509-26 First coinage angel, mintmark portcullis crowned, nearly very fine and sold for a fantastic £2,400.
The gold section sold well, which was expected with lot 337 selling for £1,700. Lot 441 contained a 1989 Gold proof boxed sovereign collection of 4, 500th anniversary of the first gold sovereign 1489-1989 with, £5, double sovereign, sovereign and half sovereign, which sold for £5,250.
Overall, the sale was a great success with much interest and lively bidding throughout.
